Description

This course is a must for real estate licensees looking to confidently navigate the unique legal and practical challenges of rental transactions. You'll discover how Illinois License Law applies to rentals and where key differences from sales—like advertising rules, disclosures, and handling security deposits— can impact your practice. Learn smart, compliant strategies for tenant screening using credit, criminal, and eviction reports. We’ll also dive into common Fair Housing pitfalls, including assistance animals and source of income protections. Plus, get up to speed on state and local rental laws and Leasing Agent license requirements. Walk away with practical tools you can use right away! In-Person at RAFV and also available via ZOOM. There is a $25 no-show fee for no-shows. All cancellations must be made in writing to john@rafv.realtor at least two days prior to the course.
