The RAFV Community Outreach Work Group is excited to announce a Personal Care Product Drive.  This is the result of listening to our members clearly state they wanted to benefit a local cause and be able to actively participate.

Between now and July 7, your offices will be collection points for certain Personal Care Products that will be donated to the Community Crisis Center in Elgin.  The Gretchen Vapnar Community Crisis Center was founded in 1975 and provides comprehensive services to individuals and families in need due to domestic violence, sexual assault or economic/financial difficulties.  The need for community support is ongoing.

Critical needs during the summer months are personal care products – items that are often assumed to be readily available, especially in warmer weather.

While there are many additional personal care items, the focus is on these seven core items:

• Tooth Brushes
• Toothpaste
• Deodorant
• Soap
• Body Wash
• Shampoo
• Conditioner

At the conclusion of the event, all collected items will be organized at the RAFV office, separated into individual sets of products and delivered to the Community Crisis Center for their distribution to clients.
